BUFFALO, NY— Marissa McMullan's (Haileybury, ON/Chingaucousy) unassisted goal in the third period helped Buffalo State (1-6-4/1-3-4) earn a 3-3 tie against Potsdam (2-6-2/1-5-2) in an ECAC West game today at the Ice Arena.

Brianna Murphy (Depew, NY/Lancaster) opened the scoring just 2:43 into the first period with her second breakaway goal in as many games with an assist from Katie Olejarski (Rockford, IL/Boylan Catholic). After Potsdam evened the score at 1-1 later in the first, Andrea Brunetta (Sault Ste. Marie, ON/St. Mary's) put the Bengals back in front with a deflected shot from the point. Tonya Ford (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville East) picked up the lone assist. Potsdam scored the first two goals of the third period, but McMullan's solo effort knotted the score with 6:05 remaining.

Buffalo State outshot the Bears, 32-29. Alyssa Koniar (New Berlin, WI/Univ. School of Milwaukee) made 26 saves.

Buffalo State will break for the holidays before resuming play on Jan. 13 with a home non-league game against Hamilton.
