BUFFALO, NY— Chatham (2-13-1/2-8-0) avenged yesterday's 8-2 loss with a 4-1 victory over host Buffalo State (2-8-4/2-4-4) in an ECAC West game this afternoon at the Ice Arena.

The Cougars extended their lead to 2-0 just 44 seconds into the second period, before Casey Bull (Lockport, NY/Lockport) put the Bengals on the scoreboard with an assists from Gillian Toneguzzo (Caledonia, ON/McKinnon Park). Chatham regained the two-goal lead late in the second frame, and then added an empty net goal to ice the win.

Chatham outshot Buffalo State, 32-27. Alyssa Koniar (New Berlin, WI/U. School of Milwaukee) started the game and stopped seven of nine shots. A.J. Sliwinski (Clarence, NY/Clarence) stopped 21 of 22 shots in relief.

Buffalo State will visit Utica for a two-game set next Friday and Saturday.
