ELMIRA, NY— Alyssa Koniar (New Berlin, WI/Univ. School of Milwaukee) made 51 saves, but Buffalo State (0-3/0-1) fell 3-0 at nationally-ranked No. 2 Elmira (1-0/1-0) tonight in the opening game of ECAC West play.

The Soaring Eagles netted a pair of goals in the first period, and added a shorthanded marker in the final stanza to complete the scoring. Elmira outshot Buffalo State, 54-7.

Buffalo State will next host Cortland in another ECAC West contest next Friday at 7 p.m.
