POTSDAM, NY—Kailyn Murray (Medicine Hat, AB/Warner Hockey School) scored the game-winner and added an assist to lead Buffalo State (4-7/3-4) past host Potsdam (4-6/2-5), 4-2, in an ECAC West contest this afternoon at Maxcy Hall Arena.

Brianna Murphy (Depew/Lancaster), Casey Bull (Lockport/Lockport) and Christine Williams (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls) also scored for the Bengals.

The Bengals jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period, but the Bears rallied to tie the score midway through the second period. Murray scored her second goal in as many days just 39 seconds later, however, and Williams added an insurance marker early in the final stanza.

Potsdam outshot the Bengals 37-29, but Alyssa Koniar (New Berlin, WI/Univ. School of Milwaukee) made 35 saves to preserve the victory.

Buffalo State will hit the ice next after the holidays with a home date against Connecticut College on Jan. 2.
