Penn State Behrend Zips Past Women’s Volleyball

BUFFALO, NY—Penn State Behrend (14-10) used a 7-0 run in the opening set to catapult past host Buffalo State (11-15) in straight sets, 25-17, 25-20 and 25-16 in a non-conference match tonight at the Sports Arena.

Allyson Pierce (Olcott/Newfane) recorded a team-best seven kills and seven blocks for Buffalo State in the loss. Stephanie Kazmierczak (Buffalo/City Honors) had 23 assists and nine digs, and Chelsea Moore (Kenmore/Kenmore West) registered 21 digs.

Buffalo State will return to SUNYAC play this weekend with a trip to Oswego. The Bengals will play the host Lakers and Fredonia on Friday.
