ASTON, PA—Five different players scored for Neumann (4-2/4-2) in a 5-1 victory over visiting Buffalo State (2-6/1-5) to complete the weekend sweep in an ECAC West game this afternoon at IceWorks Twin Rinks.

Neumann opened the scoring with the lone goal of the first period, and pushed the lead t o3-0 with a pair of second period goals. Buffalo State dented the deficit when Marissa McMullan Haileybury, ON/Chingaucousy) scored with an assist from Rio Flynn (Happy Valley, OR/Appleby College (ON)) late in the second frame. The Knights added a pair of goals late in the final period, including an empty netter, to ice the game.

Neumann held a narrow 26-24 edge in shots. Jessica Garland (Cheektowaga/Maryvale) started between the pipes for Buffalo State, but allowed three goals on 15 shots. Alyssa Koniar (New Berlin, WI/U. School of Milwaukee) made nine saves and gave up one goal in relief.

Buffalo State will return to action at Chatham on Dec. 3 at 7 p.m.
