FOX CHAPEL, PA—Christine Williams (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Falls) scored three times, including twice while shorthanded, to lift Buffalo State (3-6/3-5) to a 3-1 victory over host Chatham (0-6/0-6), completing the weekend sweep, in an ECAC West contest tonight at Shadyside Academy Ice Rink.

Williams had a goal in each period, striking shorthanded in the first and second periods, before adding a power-play marker in the final frame. The Cougars lone goal was in the first period.

Buffalo State outshot Chatham 44-23. Alyssa Koniar (New Berlin, WI/U. School of Milwaukee) made 22 saves in the victory for the Bengals.

Buffalo State will return home next Friday for a non-conference clash with Plymouth State at 7 p.m.
