ASTON, Pa.—Christine Williams (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls) scored twice, including the overtime winner as Buffalo State (9-11-1/6-8-1) defeated host Neumann (10-9-1/5-7-1), 4-3, in an ECAC West game today at Ice Works Arena.

Rio Flynn (Happy Valley, UT/Appleby College ON) and Kailyn Murray (Medicine Hat, AB/Warner Hockey School) added a goal and an assist each for the Bengals.

After Buffalo State jumped out to a 2-0 lead early in the second period, the Knights responded with three-straight goals to enter the final regulation stanza with a 3-2 advantage. Flynn netted the equalizer for the Bengals with just 1:51 remaining, however, and then Williams tallied her ninth of the season 2:55 into overtime.

Neumann outshot the Bengals, 35-20, but Alyssa Koniar (New Berlin, WI/Univ. School of Milwaukee) made 32 saves, including two in overtime for Buffalo State in the win. The Bengals were 1 for 7 on the power play, while Neumann went 2 for 6.

The same two teams will square off again tomorrow at 3 p.m.
