POTSDAM, NY – Justin Mitchell (Buffalo/Bishop Timon-St. Jude) scored 11 of his game-high 19 points in the second half to lead Buffalo State (8-10/6-6) to a 76-65 victory over the Potsdam Bears (3-15/2-10) from Maxcy Hall.

Antonio Samedi (St. Albans/Queens Vocational) had16 points and seven rebounds while Jake Simmons (Rochester/School of the Arts) contributed 15 points including hitting 3 o5 from three-point range.

After the game was tied 33-33 heading into the break, Potsdam opened the scoring in the second period, but the Bengals hit the next three buckets and never trailed again. The Bengals led by as many as 13 down the stretch. 

The next action for the men's team is tomorrow as they will travel to Plattsburgh for a 4 p.m. matchup with the Cardinals.
