ERIE, Pa.—Buffalo State (12-16) started strong but faded in a four-set loss at Penn State Behrend (12-14) tonight, falling 25-23, 17-25, 5-25 and 18-25.

Rachel Algbedo (Yonkers/Yonkers) tallied a team-high eight kills, while Sam Parente (E. Patchogue/E. Patchogue) had seven.  Paige Ottaviano (Pt. Colborne, ON/Lakeshore Catholic) dished out 28 assists, and Chelsea Moore (Kenmore/Kenmore West) recorded 25 digs.

Buffalo State will play the second round of SUNYAC Pool Play this weekend at Brockport, opening with matches against Geneseo and Fredonia on Friday.
