BUFFALO, NY—Christine Williams (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Falls) notched a hat trick to lead Buffalo State (3-3-1/2-2-1) to a 5-0 win over visiting Chatham (0-3/0-3) in an ECAC West game today at the Ice Arena.

Williams scored a goal in each of the first two periods, including one on the power play to give the Bengals a 2-0 lead entering the final stanza.  Brianna Murphy (Depew, NY/Lancaster) lit the lamp just 17 seconds into the third period and Lauren Mallo (Maple Ridge, BC/Thomas Haney) added one of her own just over five minutes later.  Williams recorded her third of the night at 15:12 to complete the scoring.  Jeyna Minnick (Rochester, NY/Greece Arcadia) finished with two assists.

Jordan Lee (Colorado Springs, CO/Widefield) had to make just 10 saves between the pipes to earn her first shutout as a Bengal, while Buffalo State fired 40 shots at the Chatham goaltender. 

Buffalo State and Chatham will face off again tomorrow at noon
