CORTLAND, NY— Alyssa Koniar (New Berlin, WI/U. School of Milwaukee) stopped all 20 shots she faced as Buffalo State (8-15/5-12) defeated host Cortland (4-18-2/3-12-2), 2-0, in an ECAC West game today at Alumni Arena.

Senior Marissa McMullan (Haileybury, ON/Chingaucousy) and freshman Marina Meneakis (Santa Fe, NM/Los Alamos) netted goals for the Bengals.

After a scoreless first period, McMullan connected on a one-time for what proved to be the game-winning goal in the second period. Meneakis added an insurance goal at 9:56 of the third period, converting a backhand from the left side of the slot.

Buffalo State outshot the Red Dragons, 39-20. The Bengals went 0 for 6 on the power play and committed just one penalty in the game.

Buffalo State and Cortland will meet again in tomorrow's season finale at 2 p.m.
