OSWEGO, NY— Alyssa Koniar (New Berlin, WI/U. School of Milwaukee) made 40 saves, but it was not enough as Buffalo State (7-12/3-10) dropped a 3-1 decision at Oswego (10-8-3/6-6-3) tonight in ECAC West action.

The Lakers outshot Buffalo State 43-20 and jumped out to a 3-0 lead with two goals in the first period and another in the second. Marissa McMullan (Haileybury, ON/Chingaucousy) scored her ninth goal of the season early in the third period on the power-play to get the Bengals' on the board with an assist from Lauren Mallo (Maple Ridge, BC/Thomas Haney), but Buffalo State could not complete the comeback.

Buffalo State will take on Oswego again tomorrow at 3 p.m.
