BUFFALO, NY—Stevenson (1-1) recorded a four-goal performance en route to its first win in program history, as the Mustangs defeated Buffalo State (1-1), 4-1 in a non-conference game this afternoon at the Ice Arena.

Jeyna Minnick (Rochester, NY/Greece-Arcadia) netted her second goal in as many goals, scoring on the power play.  Kara Goodwin (Avon Lake, OH/Avon Lake) was credited with the assist.

The Mustangs never trailed and got on the board first at the 6:45 mark of the opening period.  Minnick got the equalizer late in the period as the teams took a 1-1 tie into intermission.  Stevenson would add another goal in the second and two more in the third, including an empty net marker, to seal the victory.

Shots were nearly even at 29-28 in favor of Buffalo State.  The Bengals were 1 for 10 on the power play, while Stevenson was 0 for 5.  Jordan Lee (Colorado Springs, CO/Widefield) had 24 saves in the loss.

Buffalo State will travel to Neumann for an ECAC West game on Saturday at 7 p.m.
