PITTSBURGH, Pa.—Buffalo State (3-3/2-2) scored early and often as the Bengals blanked Chatham (1-5/0-4), 5-0, in an ECAC West game at Shadyside Academy this afternoon.

Kara Goodwin (Avon Lake, OH/Avon Lake) led Buffalo State with a goal and two assists.  Courtney Carnes (Winslow, ME/Winslow) finished with a goal and an assist.  Kendra Peters (Brier, WA/Inglemoor), Rio Flynn (Winnipeg, MB/Appleby College (ON)) and Christina Zandri (Baldwinsivlle, NY/C.W. Baker) also scored for the Bengals, while Tara Boliard (Canton, MI/Canton) chipped in two helpers.

Goodwin got things started, scoring just 27 seconds into the game and assisted on Buffalo State's second goal of the first period to give the Bengals the 2-0 lead after one.  Buffalo State would net another marker in the second and two more in the third to complete the weekend sweep of the Cougars.

The Bengals peppered the Chatham net with 49 shots and Jordan Lee (Colorado Springs, CO/Widefield) finished with 11 saves to earn her sixth career shutout.

Buffalo State and Chatham will meet again in a non-conference game at the Ice Arena on Nov. 17 at 3 p.m.
