BUFFALO, NY—Nationally top-ranked Plattsburgh State (9-0-1/5-0) completed the weekend sweep of Buffalo State (3-6/2-4), defeating the Bengals, 5-0, for the second consecutive day in an ECAC West this afternoon at the Ice Arena.

The Cardinals scored three goals in the 20 minutes, including a power-play marker and shorthanded goal and tacked on one more in each of the final two periods in the shutout.

Plattsburgh State outshot the Bengals, 40-13, and finished 1 for 4 with the extra skater.  Jordan Lee (Colorado Springs, CO/Widefield) had 35 saves in the loss.

Buffalo State will host Cortland in a pair of non-conference games next weekend as the Bengals will “Pink the Rink” for breast cancer awareness on Friday at 7 p.m.
