UTICA, NY—Utica (10-12-3/7-9-2) exploded for five goals in the second period and continued to pour it on in a 9-0 victory over visiting Buffalo State (7-16-2/4-13-1) in the season finale today at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.

The Pioneers scored the only goal of the opening frame with 2:32 remaining in the period, before breaking it wide open in the second.  Utica continued to pull away in the final 20 minutes, outshooting the Bengals 56-14 for the game.

Jordan Lee (Colorado Springs, CO/Widefield) allowed four goals on 34 shots before being relieved by Jessica Garland (Cheektowaga, NY/Maryvale) midway through the second.  Garland made 17 saves on 22 shots.

Brianna Murphy (Depew/Depew) and Leah Knott (Sinking Spring, PA/Wilson) each played in her 95 career game today, establishing a new school record.
