ELMIRA, NY—No. 4 Elmira (17-2-1/12-1-0) opened the scoring just 45 seconds into the game and pulled away for a 4-0 victory over visiting Buffalo State (6-12-2/3-9-1) in an ECAC West game tonight at the Murray Athletic Center.

The Soaring Eagles added another first period goal and then scored once more in the second and pitched in an insurance marker early in the third.  The Bengals fired 26 shots on goal, but could not break through.  Elmira tallied 43 shots, as Jordan Lee (Colorado Springs, CO/Widefield) made 39 saves. 

Elmira finished 0 for 4 on the power play, and Buffalo State was just 0 for 1.

The same two teams will face off again tomorrow at 3 p.m.
