ELMIRA, NY—No. 4 Elmira (18-2-1/13-1-0) controlled play from the opening face off and cruised to a 7-0 victory over visiting Buffalo State (6-12-2/3-9-1) in an ECAC West game tonight at the Murray Athletic Center.

The Soaring Eagles peppered the Bengals goalies with 46 shots and scored twice in the first, three times in the second, and added two more in the final period.  Jordan Lee (Colorado Springs, CO/Widefield) made 30 saves on 35 shots in the first two periods, before Jessica Garland (Cheektowaga, NY/Maryvale) turned aside 9 of 11 shots she faced in the final 20 minutes.  The Bengals managed just 18 shots on goal for the game.

Buffalo State will close out its home schedule against Cortland with a two-game set on Friday and Saturday.
