Box Score UTICA, NY—Utica (5-2/4-2) completed the weekend sweep and skated to a second-consecutive 5-1 victory over visiting Buffalo State (0-9/0-6) in an ECAC West game today at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.

Utica scored the game's first four goals, including three in the opening frame. The Pioneers pushed the lead to 4-0 with just over six minutes remaining in the game, before Kara Goodwin (Avon Lake, OH/Avon Lake) scored for the second-straight game for the Bengals just under a minute later. Utica completed the scoring less than a minute after that to seal the win.

Jordan Lee (Colorado Springs/Widefield) was between the pipes again for Buffalo State, making 44 saves in the loss.

Buffalo State will look for its first wins of the season when it hosts Franklin Pierce for a pair of non-conference games on Saturday and Sunday.
