Box Score BUFFALO, NY—Karsyn Baker had two goals and an assist to help lead visiting Franklin Pierce (6-1) to a 4-1 win over Buffalo State (0-10) in a non-conference game this afternoon at the Ice Arena.

The Ravens struck early, scoring just 31 seconds into the game and added another midway through the period to take a 2-0 lead into intermission. Kara Goodwin (Avon Lake, OH/Avon Lake) cut the deficit in half, when she scored her fourth of the season on the power play at the 8:00 mark of the second period, but Franklin Pierce would respond with a power play goal of its own just over three minutes later and add another tally in the third to close out all scoring.

Franklin Pierce outshot the Bengals, 27-16, and finished 3 for 8 with the extra skater, while Buffalo State was 1 for 5. Sarah Quigley (Canton, MA/National Sports Academy) had 23 saves in the loss.

The two teams will play again tomorrow at noon at the Ice Arena.
