CORTLAND, NY—Cortland (5-13-1/5-8-0) recorded a goal in each period and skated to a 3-1 win over visiting Buffalo State (5-14-1/2-9-0) in an ECAC West game tonight at Alumni Arena.

Nikki Kirchberger (Buffalo, NY/W. Seneca West) scored the lone Bengals' goal.

Cortland opened the scoring at 6:28 of the first period before Kirchberger recorded her fifth of the season to even things at 1-1.  The Red Dragons would tack on a power play marker in both the second and third stanzas to seal the win.

Jordan Lee (Colorado Springs, CO/Widefield) had 21 saves in 46 minutes, while Sarah Quigley (Caonton, MA/National Sports Academy) finished with four in relief.  Buffalo State was 0 for 4 on the power play and held a 30-28 edge in shots.

Buffalo State will look to snap a six-game losing skid when they face-off against Cortland again tomorrow at 2 p.m.
