BUFFALO, NY— Utica (12-7-2/9-4-2) blanked Buffalo State (5-16-1/2-11), 4-0, in an ECAC West contest this afternoon at the Ice Arena. 

Utica scored a goal in each of the first two periods and tacked on two more in the final stanza to control the game.  Megan Myers (Las Vegas, NV) led the Pioneers with two goals, including an empty netter, and an assist.

Buffalo State was outshot, 33-23, and both teams finished 0 for 6 on the power play.  Jordan Lee (Colorado Springs, CO/Widefield) stopped 29 shots in the loss.

Today's game was a must win for the Bengals, as they are officially eliminated from playoff contention.

Buffalo State will host Utica again tomorrow on Senior Day with the puck drop set for 2 p.m.
