BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State women's ice hockey team is set to host Cortland in a pair of NEWHL contests this weekend, with puck drop set for 7 p.m. tonight and 3 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

EYES ON THE BENGALS
- Buffalo State enters this weekend with a 2-2-0 overall record (0-2-0 NEWHL). The Bengals fell to Canton and Potsdam in NEWHL action last weekend.
- Lilli Adimey is third in the NEWHL in points by a defenseman. The sophomore has recorded three assists this season already, one shy of matching her mark from last season.
- Vanessa Willick is fourth in the conference with two goals scored this year. The freshman forward registered a pair of goals in the second game of the season against Wilkes.
- Jessica Auge has picked off right where she left off at the end of her record-breaking campaign last year. In 2021-22, Auge set the Buffalo State program record for most saves in a single season with 990. This season, she leads the conference with 138 saves through four games.
RESEARCHING THE RED DRAGONS
- Cortland enters its NEWHL-opening weekend at 2-0-0 overall. The Red Dragons currently sit at #13 in the most recent DCU/USCHO.com poll after sweeping Stevenson last weekend.
- Cortland returns a quartet of NEWHL All-Conference members from last year in Grace Schnorr, Molly Goergen, Mia Hlasnick, and Kait Bourgeois.
- Through two games, Dany Donegan leads Cortland with six points on two goals and four assists.
