EYES ON THE BENGALS

  • Buffalo State enters this weekend with a 2-2-0 overall record (0-2-0 NEWHL). The Bengals fell to Canton and Potsdam in NEWHL action last weekend.
  • Lilli Adimey is third in the NEWHL in points by a defenseman. The sophomore has recorded three assists this season already, one shy of matching her mark from last season.
  • Vanessa Willick is fourth in the conference with two goals scored this year. The freshman forward registered a pair of goals in the second game of the season against Wilkes.
  • Jessica Auge has picked off right where she left off at the end of her record-breaking campaign last year. In 2021-22, Auge set the Buffalo State program record for most saves in a single season with 990. This season, she leads the conference with 138 saves through four games.

RESEARCHING THE RED DRAGONS

  • Cortland enters its NEWHL-opening weekend at 2-0-0 overall. The Red Dragons currently sit at #13 in the most recent DCU/USCHO.com poll after sweeping Stevenson last weekend.
  • Cortland returns a quartet of NEWHL All-Conference members from last year in Grace Schnorr, Molly Goergen, Mia Hlasnick, and Kait Bourgeois.
  • Through two games, Dany Donegan leads Cortland with six points on two goals and four assists.

THE HISTORY

Buffalo State holds a 27-25-10 edge over Cortland since the 2000 season. However, the Red Dragons are riding a three-game winning streak over the Bengals.
