BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Buffalo State Bengals women's hockey program is back in action again this weekend for their last away series up in the North Country to face off against the second-ranked Plattsburgh Cardinals. Friday's game will start at 7 p.m., while Saturday will have a puck drop of 3 p.m.

A Look At The Bengals

• Buffalo State comes into this weekend with a 1-20-1 overall and 0-15-0 conference record. This will be the last time the team can pick up a NEWHL win on the road for this season.
• The Bengals were shut out 5-0 at Morrisville State on Tuesday in their last game played. 
• Sophomore forward Bethany Horvatits (Elma, NY/Cazenovia Chiefs) led the team with three shots while Hannah Tingley (Stoneboro, PA/Washington Pride), Sage Running Rabbit (Siksika, AB/Elite Southern Express), J.J. Johnson (Readfield, ME/Kents Hills), and Amanda Mindzora (Parma, OH/Gilmour Prep Academy) all offered two shots a piece in the effort.

• The Cardinals, ranked second in the latest USCHO.com polls, enter this weekend's contests with a 20-2-1 overall and 15-0-1 conference record.
• The team blanked SUNY Canton 6-0 in their last game on Tuesday.
• Annie Katonka had a hat trick, while Nicole Unsworth scored twice and Mae Olshansky netted one to make up the scoring for the Cardinals.

Plattsburgh State leads the all time series between the two programs 45-0-1. Buffalo State will have two more opportunities to end the winless streak against the Cardinals this weekend.
