ROCHESTER, NY – The Buffalo State indoor track and field teams had several strong performances as they continued their strong start to the season at the Nazareth Alumni Invite tonight at the Golisano Training Center.
 
 
FOR THE BENGAL MEN

• Tyler McGrath (Clarence Center, NY/Clarence) and Chris Kaszynski (Buffalo, NY/Kenmore West) paced the Bengal men for the second straight meet as McGrath took the win in the 60-meter dash and Kaszynski placed second in the pole vault.
• Kaszynski broke his school record for a second straight meet with a leap of 4.75 meters.
• Logan Abate (Green Brook, NJ/Watchung Hills) finished third in the event while qualifying for AARTFC Regionals.
• Tony Bates (Angola, NY/Lake Shore) raced to a fourth-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles.
• Xzavier Goodman (Buffalo, NY/Olmstead) earned the win in the shot put with a throw of 14.27 meters and later finished sixth in the weight throw with a mark of 14.31 meters.
• Kai Messmer (Buffalo, NY/St. Joe's) leaped to a fourth-place finish in the long jump at 6.60 meters while Valentino Lucas (Amityville, NY/Amityville) placed sixth in the high jump.
• McGrath teamed up with Dylan Devine (Brockport, NY/Brockport), Sidney Morris (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East), and Seth Conner (Cheektowaga, NY/Cheektowaga) to finish fourth in the 4x400-meter relay to close out the meet.
