BOSTON, MA – A small group of competitors from the Buffalo State men's track and field team took part in the Boston University Valentine Invite this weekend as a preparation event for the SUNYAC Championships in two weeks.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Tyler McGrath (Clarence Center, NY/Clarence) finished fourth in the 200-meter dash with a program record mark of 21.53 seconds, and took eighth in the 60-meter dash in 6.95 seconds.
- Jarrod Polk (Bolivar, NY/Bolivar-Richburg) leapt 13.26 meters to finish seventh in the triple jump.
- Kai Messmer (Buffalo, NY/St. Joe's) was eighth in the triple jump at 12.99 meters, and 20th in the long jump with a mark of 6.24 meters. Nas Muslim Dost (Buffalo, NY/Maryvale) was just behind in 21st place.
- Xzavier Goodman (Buffalo, NY/Olmstead) threw 14.68 in the shot put, taking ninth overall, and 21st with a mark of 14.08 in the weight throw.
- Dom Cervellera's (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) mark of 12.61 was good enough for 12th place in the shot put.

The Bengals have one final tune-up meet at Nazareth next weekend, before SUNYAC Championships on Feb. 23-24.
