Men's Track and Field Wins Six Events at Brockport Multi

BROCKPORT, NY - The Buffalo State men's track and field team won six times at the Brockport Invite on Sunday afternoon, and came away with multiple top-eight finishes on the day.

FOR THE BENGALS

Logan Abate (Green Brook, NJ/Watchung Hills), Kai Messmer (Buffalo, NY/St. Joe's), Jarrod Polk (Bolivar, NY/Bolivar-Richburg), and Tyler McGrath (Clarence Center, NY/Clarence) took first in the 4x100-meter dash, finishing in 42.40 seconds.
Max Ming (Brooklyn, NY/Orchard Academy) was seventh in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.90 seconds.
McGrath and Abate were first and second in the 100-meter dash with times of 10.98 seconds and 11.16 seconds, respectively. McGrath was also first in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.13 seconds, while Abate finished in 22.75 seconds for fourth place.
Sidney Morris (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East) broke the two-minute mark in the 800-meter dash on the way to the victory in 1:59.33.
Xzavier Goodman (Buffalo, NY/Olmstead) won the discus throw with a mark of 43.64 meters, and took third in the shot put at 14.74 meters. He also broke his own school record in the hammer throw with a mark of 50.36 meters for a fourth-place finish.
Chris Diem (Buffalo, NY/Cleveland Hill) threw 46.16 meters in the javelin for a fifth-place finish.
Chris Kaszynski (Buffalo, NY/Kenmore West) cleared 4.61 meters for a victory in the pole vault.
Gio Ventura (Geneva, NY/Geneva) was fourth in the 10k, finishing in 32:52.86.
