ROCHESTER, NY – The Buffalo State men's and women's outdoor track and field teams had some impressive performances at the University of Rochester Alumni Invite today at Edwin Fauver Stadium.

 
FOR THE BENGAL MEN

• Xzavier Goodman (Buffalo, NY/Olmstead) led the Bengals for the second consecutive meet breaking his school record in the shot put with a throw of 15.96 meters while placing second in the event.
• Goodman also took eighth in the hammer throw with a distance of 49.62 meters, marking his second program record of the meet.
• Chris Kaszynski (Buffalo, NY/Kenmore West) took the win in the pole vault with a leap of 4.61 meters.
• Jarrod Polk (Bolivar, NY/Bolivar-Richburg) and Kai Messmer (Buffalo, NY/St. Joe's) finished 1-2 in the triple jump with leaps of 13.27 and 13.04 meters, respectively.
• Messmer went on to finish fourth in the long jump while Seth Conner (Cheektowaga, NY/Cheektowaga) took fifth and Nas Muslim Dost (Buffalo, NY/Maryvale) took seventh.
• Messmer also went on to score points in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.28 seconds while Logan Abate (Greenbrook, NJ/Watchung Hill) finished with a time of 11.34 seconds.
• Dom Cervellera (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) took fourth in the discus throw with a mark of 44.23 meters.
• Chris Diem (Buffalo, NY/Cleveland Hill) took second in the javelin with a throw of 48.43 meters.

The Bengals will return to action next weekend as they will travel down to Pennsylvania to compete at the Bucknell University Invite.
