BUFFALO, NY – Diego Rivera (East Meadow, NY/Cairo Durham) of the Buffalo State men's soccer team has been named the SUNYAC Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week for his respective performance this past weekend. Rivera earns the honor for the sixth time this season.

Rivera has been selected the SUNYAC Men's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week every week of the 2025 season so far - six weeks. He continued his historic season helping the Bengals improve to 3-0 in conference play. Rivera netted both goals in Buffalo State's 2-0 win over Morrisville before adding another goal and an assist in the team's 2-0 win over Canton. On the year, Rivera now has 22 goals and 52 points and sits just two goals, and three points shy of matching the program record for most goals and points in a single season.
