BUFFALO, NY – Willa Overton (Watertown, NY/Watertown) of the Buffalo State women's soccer team and Diego Rivera (East Meadow, NY/Cairo Durham) of the Buffalo State men's soccer team have been named Bengal Athletes of the Week presented by UBMD Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine.

Overton, a sophomore interior design major, had a strong week for the Bengals as she led the women's soccer team to improve to 3-0 in conference play. In the win over Morrisville, Overton tallied a hat trick and an assist and later added an assist in the team's win over Canton on Saturday.

Rivera, a senior childhood education major, continued his historic season helping the Bengals improve to 3-0 in conference play. Rivera netted both goals in Buffalo State's 2-0 win over Morrisville before adding another goal and an assist in the team's 2-0 win over Canton.

The men's and women's soccer teams return to action tomorrow as they will travel to battle Fredonia for "Battle by the Lake."
