BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State women's lacrosse team, led by head coach Bean Minerd, have announced their schedule for the upcoming 2026 season. The Bengals will look to reach the SUNYAC Tournament for a second straight season in 2026.
The Bengals will open the season with six of their first seven games of the season in the friendly confines of Coyer Field. After opening the season hosting Alfred University (February 24) and a quick trip to Geneva (February 28), Buffalo State will have five straight home games featuring Nazareth (March 4), Utica (March 7), Hilbert (March 11), Grove City (March 14), and Allegheny (March 18).
Buffalo State will then open conference play at Plattsburgh (March 21) before finishing their non-conference schedule at Alfred State (March 24).
To cap-off the regular season, Minerd's squad will play in eight straight SUNYAC contests hosting Canton (March 28), Potsdam (April 3), New Paltz (April 11), and Fredonia (April 22). On the road, the Bengals will battle Morrisville (March 31), Oswego (April 8), Oneonta (April 15), and Cortland (April 18).
The SUNYAC Tournament will take place from April 25-May 2. Last season, the Bengals reached the SUNYAC Semifinals as they fell to the top-seeded Lakers in a narrow 15-14 matchup. Buffalo State was back in the postseason for the first time since 2018 and will look to reach the SUNYAC Tournament in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2017-2018.
