BUFFALO, NY – Lesedi Sekhobo (Albany, NY/Shaker) of the Buffalo State men's soccer team and
Olivia Kilmer (Hammondsport, NY/Avoca) of the Buffalo State women's soccer team have been named Bengal Athletes of the Week, presented by UBMD Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.
Sekhobo, a sophomore business major, earns the recognition for the second time this season as he posted a five point showing for the Bengals to help pick up their first conference win of the season on Saturday over Morrisville. Sekhobo scored twice including the game-winning goal while also tallying an assist. On the year, Sekhobo shares the team lead with four goals while also chipping in four assists to lead the Bengals with 12 points.
The men's soccer team returns to action tomorrow as they will travel to Oswego for a SUNYAC matchup.
Kilmer, a junior speech pathology major, also earns the honor for the second time this season. Kilmer led the Bengals to their first conference win of the season following a 4-1 final over Morrisville as she scored twice, including the game-winning goal, and also picked up an assist. She eclipsed the 50-career point barrier which moves her into the top-10 all-time in Buffalo State women's soccer history.
The women's soccer team returns to action tomorrow as they will host Oswego for a crucial SUNYAC battle.
