BUFFALO, NY – The National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) announced its annual postseason awards last night recognizing
Lucy Ingro (Newfane, NY/Newfane) as a member of the NCATA All-Academic Team. Ingro is the first in program history to earn a major NCATA recognition.
To earn the distinction, student athletes must hold a 3.50 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50% of their respective team's meets. Ingro currently has a 3.96 GPA as a speech pathology major. Only 16 student athletes earn the honors featuring four from each NCAA division and four at-large selections.
In addition, Ingro was joined by 12 other teammates to earn a spot on the NCATA Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.30 cumulative GPA:
