Acrobatics & Tumbling Falls To #13 Mary Hardin-Baylor In NCATA Tournament

MARSHALL, TX – The Buffalo State acrobatics & tumbling team opened competition this evening at the NCATA Division III Tournament against #13 Mary Hardin-Baylor. The Bengals fell short with a final score of 255.435-212.710 at Ornelas Gym but set a new program record with their overall score.

THE BENGAL BREAKDOWN
  • Buffalo State come out with a strong showing as they opened the meet with 27.300 points in the compulsory event.
  • The Bengals kept their momentum going with 24.800 points following the acro event.
  • In the final event of the first half, the Bengals posted a score of 26.050 in the pyramid event. The Crusaders carried a 92.530-78.150 lead into halftime.
  • Coming out of the break, scored 24.400 in the toss event. This included an 8.400 in the open heat.
  • Buffalo State netted another 39.250 points following the tumbling event. Their best showing was in the open pass with a score of 7.750.
  • The Bengals closed out the meet with a 70.91 in the team event to bring their overall total to 212.710, besting their previous program mark set nearly three weeks ago.

The Bengals will battle host-East Texas Baptist tomorrow at 6:00 pm in the consolation/4th place meet.
