BUFFALO, NY – All-Region honorees for the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field season were announced by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). To earn this honor, athletes must finish in the top-8 in their respective individual events, or the region's top-8 relay teams. The regions used for this award – East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, South, and West – match those used during the cross country season.
Buffalo State saw ten athletes recognized in
Jalil Coppedge (Bronx, NY/Ralph R. McKee),
Bryan Honan (Cortland, NY/Cortland),
Ethan Mitrano (Penfield, NY/Penfield),
Shiloh Cornel (Cambria Heights, NY/Cardozo),
Pablo Ortiz (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca East),
Sidney Morris (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East),
Terrell Price (Depew, NY/Depew),
Madison MacNeill (Buffalo, NY/West Seneca West),
Nyla Wilson-Epps (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry), and
Natalia Sawyer (Schenectady, NY/Schalmont).
Coppedge earns his first career outdoor regional honor in the 110-meter hurdles. He also earned All-Region in the 60-meter hurdles following each of the last two indoor seasons. Coppedge earned Third Team All-SUNYAC in the event after finishing third at conference championships. He also raced to a 10
th place finished at the regional meet with a time of 14.67 seconds.
Honan and Mitrano each earned regional honors in the throwing events as Honan picked up the recognition in the hammer throw while Mitrano earned his regional honor in the shot put. Both Honan and Mitrano also picked up their first career All-Region recognition. For Honan, he earned Second Team All-SUNYAC following a runner-up finish at the conference meet where he threw a school record mark of 58.74 meters. That mark was also good enough to punch his ticket to NCAA Championships on Saturday where he will compete for the first time in his career. For Mitrano, he earned Third Team All-SUNYAC in the shot put following a third place finish at SUNYAC Championships where he threw a personal best mark of 15.96 meters.
Rounding out the men's side is the quartet for Cornel, Ortiz, Morris, and Price who earned regional honors in the 4x400m relay. All four have earned their first career regional honor as they were also Third Team All-SUNYAC in the event with a time of 3:20.83. At the regional meet, the relay posted a time of 3:18.11 to finish ninth overall.
For the Bengal women, MacNeill earns her first regional honor with the Bengals in the high jump. MacNeill finished sixth at SUNYAC Championships in the event and later finished 12
th at the regional meet. MacNeill was also part of the women's 4x100m and 4x400m relay that scored at conference championships.
Wilson-Epps picked up three All-Region honors in the shot put, discus throw, and hammer throw. Wilson-Epps was the SUNYAC Champion in the discus throw and finished fifth in both the shot put and hammer throw. In addition, she was named the SUNYAC Female Rookie of the Championship Meet and also set the Buffalo State record in all three events this season.
Rounding out the field for the Bengals is Sawyer as she picked up two more regional honors in the 400-meter run and 400-meter hurdles. Sawyer was the SUNYAC Champion in the outdoor 400-meter hurdles and picked up three regional honors following the indoor season (60-meter hurdles, 200m dash, and 400m dash). At the regional meet, Sawyer finished third in the 400-meter and sixth in the 200-meter.
