Natalia Sawyer And Bryan Honan Earn All-America Honors To Conclude NCAA Championships

LA CROSSE, WI – Natalia Sawyer (Schenectady, NY/Schalmont) and Bryan Honan (Cortland, NY/Cortland) of the Buffalo State outdoor track & field team each earned All-America honors as the duo concluded competition at NCAA Championships today. Sawyer earned First Team All-America honors following a third place finish in the 400-meter hurdles while Honan earned Second Team All-America honors after a 12th place finish in the hammer throw.
 
THE BENGAL BREAKDOWN
  • Sawyer ran a time of 59.32 to finish third in the hurdles and clinch her eighth career All-America honor. She finished her career tied for the second most in program history. Alivia Henkel of North Central won the event with a time of 58.65 seconds.
  • For Honan, he competed in the first of two flights of the hammer throw. On his third and final attempt, he hit a mark of 56.75 meters to earn his first career All-America honor. Owen Fremeau of Olivet won the hammer throw with a mark of 63.85 meters.
  • In addition, Honan is the first thrower to earn All-America honors in program history.
