BRIDGEWATER, VA—Freshman Amanda Sauer (Orchard Park/Orchard Park) netted a pair of goals to pace Buffalo State (1-1) to a 3-0 victory over host Bridgewater (0-2) today in a non-conference matchup.

Another freshman, Hannah Williams (Webster/Webster Thomas) opened the scoring for the Bengals just 1:57 into the contest, with an assist from Barb Kiliszek (Depew/Lancaster). Sauer extended the Bengals' lead in the 70th minute from Kiliszek and then added the clincher in the 85th minute.

Buffalo State outshot Bridgewater, 9-7, and Meghan Jarrell (Hamburg/Hamburg) made four saves for the shutout.

Buffalo State will return to action in its home opener on Saturday against Mt. St. Mary at 2 p.m.
