BUFFALO, NY—Buffalo State (8-4-5) erupted for three second-half goals to defeat visiting Elmira (6-10), 3-0, in the regular season finale today at Coyer Field.
Amanda Sauer (Orchard Park/Orchard Park) scored first in the opening minute of the second half, converting a penalty kick for the second-consecutive game.
Barb Kiliszek (Depew/Lancaster) netted the Bengals' second goal in the 72nd minute on a 20-yard shot off of a rebound.
Leighana Krzyzanowski (Ontario/Wayne) completed the scoring just over three minutes later, also steering a rebound into an open goal.
Buffalo State outshot the Soaring Eagles 26-7, dominating the second half with a 21-0 advantage. The Bengals also had nine corners, compared to three by Elmira.
