OSWEGO, NY—Buffalo State (3-3-5/1-2-1) earned its first SUNYAC victory of the season, defeating host Oswego (6-6/2-2), 2-1, today at the Laker Field Complex.

Kristina Boberskyj (Rochester/Greece-Odyssey) opened the scoring for the Bengals in the early going with an assist from Barb Kiliszek (Depew/Lancaster). Oswego leveled the score at 1-1 in the 34th minute, but the Bengals pulled ahead for good just over seven minutes later with a tally credited to Hannah Williams (Webster/Webster Thomas).

Buffalo State outshot the Lakers, 10-9, and Meghan Jarrell (Hamburg/Hamburg) made four saves to preserve the win.

The Bengals will visit Cortland for another SUNYAC game tomorrow at 1 p.m.
