CLEVELAND—Meghan Jarrell (Hamburg/Hamburg) made six saves, including on a penalty kick with less than two minutes remaining in the second overtime to preserve a 1-1 draw for Buffalo State (0-0-1) in its season opener at Case Western (0-1-1) today in the CWRU Classic.

Case Western opened the scoring with a goal on another penalty kick in the 40th minute. Buffalo State pulled even when Mindy Wendt (Sanborn/Starpoint) scored from 25 yard out off a pass from Leighana Krzyzanowski (Ontario/Wayne) in the 83rd minute.

Buffalo State will meet Hiram in the final day of the Case Western tourney tomorrow at 5:30 p.m.
