CORTLAND, NY—Cortland (12-3/7-1) took advantage 27 Buffalo State (7-8/2-6) turnovers and dominated in the paint in a 74-47 victory in a SUNYAC game this afternoon at Whitney T. Corey Gymnasium.

Staci McElroy (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs) was the lone Bengal scoring in double-figures with 13 points and she also had a game-high nine rebounds. The next highest scorer for Buffalo State netted just six points.

Cortland never trailed, racing to a 41-21 lead by the intermission, and the Red Dragons ended the game with their largest lead of the day. Cortland outscored Buffalo State 30-12 in the paint and 25-4 off turnovers.

Buffalo State will return home for a Tuesday evening tilt against Brockport at 6 p.m. The game will be broadcast on tape delay on Time Warner SportsNet 13.
