Tina Boberskyj scored the game-winner in the 93rd minute
(BOX SCORE)

BUFFALO, NY—Tina Boberskyj (Rochester/Greece-Odyssey) scored on a free kick in overtime to give host Buffalo State (8-3-2/4-0-1) at 2-1 victory today over Cortland (6-4-3/2-2-1) and match a school record pushing its unbeaten nine games.

The Bengals opened the scoring late in the first half on a 30-yard strike from Jessica Andres (Honeoye/Honeoye) that ricocheted off the cross bar, off the back of the keeper, and in the goal. Rachel Pettys (Darien/Alexander) assisted on the goal. Cortland evened the score in the 75th minute on a long, bending free kick by Maura Martin, but Boberskyj ended the game just 2:25 into the first extra session.

Shots for the game were even at 14-14. Virginia Porten (Auburn/Auburn) made four saves for Buffalo State, and Pam Monnier had four stops for Cortland.

Buffalo State will hit the road on Friday to play at Plattsburgh at 3 p.m.
