FARMINGDALE, NY—The host Rams (3-0) tallied the game's only goal in the 77th minute to defeat visiting Buffalo State (1-1), 1-0, today in the Farmingdale Classic.

Farmingdale controlled play in the opening half, outshooting the Bengals 13-4, but Buffalo State goalkeeper Virginia Porten (Auburn/Auburn) was perfect, keeping the game scoreless. The Bengals regrouped in the second half with a 10-6 advantage in shots, but the Rams netted the only marker of the game. Porten finished the game with nine saves.

Buffalo State will open its home schedule on Wednesday when it welcomes RIT for a 4 p.m. start.
