(BOX SCORE)

BUFFALO, NY—Buffalo State (9-6/4-5) won the 600th game in the history of the women's basketball program, defeating visiting Brockport (4-12/2-7), 55-50, in a SUNYAC game tonight at the Sports Arena.

Buffalo State has won more than 60-percent of its games since the program was established in 1965, and joins a select group of Division III programs with 600 wins.

Barb Kiliszek (Depew/Lancaster) led Buffalo State with 14 points and added six rebounds and four steals. Staci McElroy (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs) added 10 points and seven rebounds, and Aleesha Williams (Cheektowaga/Pioneer) added seven points and five boards off the bench.

Buffalo State trailed by a slim 28-27 margin at the break, but hung tight and took the lead for good just over 11 minutes remaining. The Bengals led by as many as eight points with just over four minutes remaining and held on down the stretch. Both teams struggled shooting the ball, as Buffalo State and Brockport shot 36-percent and 32-percent respectively from the field, and 56-percent and 53-percent respectively from the free throw line. Buffalo State committed just eight turnover, however, and forced 19 Golden Eagle miscues.

Buffalo State will next visit Oswego on Friday at 6 p.m.
