CORTLAND, NY—Buffalo State (10-7/5-6) had its four-game winning-streak snapped at Cortland (13-4/8-3) with an 80-59 loss today in a SUNYAC game.

Staci McElroy (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs) led Buffalo State with 20 points. Sarah Thompson (Delmar/Bethlehem) chipped in 12 points and eight rebounds off the bench.

Cortland led 42-31 at the break, and the Bengals never cut the deficit to single-digits the rest of the way. The Red Dragons outscored Buffalo State 30-9 from 3-point range and shot 41-percent from the field, compared to 30-percent shooting by the Bengals.

Buffalo State will travel to Geneseo on Tuesday for a 6 p.m. contest.
