Buffalo State is making its third SUNYAC playoff appearance in the last four years and is in search of its first playoff win since 2002-03.  This year's Bengals enter as the No. 5 seed in the playoffs after going 10-8 in league play and 15-9 overall.  Buffalo State's 15 wins are the team's most since winning 18 in 2002-03.

Buffalo State is led by sophomore Staci McElroy (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs) and Barb Kiliszek (Depew/Lancaster).  McElroy leads the SUNYAC in scoring, averaging 15.3 points, and Kiliszek is third in the league averaging 14.0 points and leads the conference in steals (3.96).
