Box Score BUFFALO, NY—
Jordan Dudish (Grand Island/Grand Island) scored in the 87th minute to pull host Buffalo State (2-6-4/0-1-3) even with Cortland (7-2-3/4-0-1) and earn a 2-2 tie in a SUNYAC game today at Coyer Field.
Cortland controlled the play in the first half, outshooting the Bengals 8-0, but was unable to get on the scoreboard. The Red Dragons finally broke through in the 53rd minute, but
Meghan Allen (Big Flats/Corning East) knotted the score just 1:25 later. Allen's initial shot bounced off of the right post, but she collected the rebound and made no mistake.
Cortland took the lead again in the 70th minute, but Dudish tallied the equalizer on a 35 yard free kick from the left sideline that sailed through a maze of players and snuck inside the far goal post.
Neither team generated any quality chances in the overtime periods. Cortland finished with a 19-10 advantage in shots.
Linda Banfield (Honeoye Falls/Honeoye Falls-Lima) finished with eight saves between the pipes for the Bengals.
