Box Score CLINTON, NY— Hamilton (5-4) outscored visiting Buffalo State (3-5) by 20 points in the second half to rally for a 78-64 victory in a non-conference matchup this afternoon.   

Bianca Smiley (Amherst/Sweet Home) led Buffalo State with 19 points and added nine rebounds.  Freshman Mariah Norris (Endicott/Endicott) added 12 points, and Ashley Wallace (Lockport/Starpoint) had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. 

Buffalo State led by as many as 12 points in the first half and took a 38-32 lead into halftime.  The Bengals continued to lead through the early part of the second, frame and still led 58-56 with 8:45 remaining.  The host Continentals took over from there, however, outscoring the Bengals 22-6 the rest of the way. 

The Bengals shot 36-percent from the field for the game and just 29-percent in the second half.  Hamilton shot 43-percent for the game, and outscored Buffalo State 18-9 from 3-point range.  Buffalo State held a plus-six rebounding advantage, but the game was ultimately decided at the free-throw line where Hamilton was 26 of 30, compared to the Bengals' 11 of 17.

Buffalo State will look to get back on track on Monday at home against RIT at 6 p.m.
