Olivia Luciani hit five 3-pointers to lead the Bengals with 15 points
Box Score CORTLAND, NY— Buffalo State (5-7/1-4) made a season-high 11 3-pointers, but it was not enough as host Cortland (4-7/2-3) dealt the Bengals a 72-66 loss tonight in a SUNYAC contest.

Olivia Luciani (Syracuse/E. Syracuse Minoa) led the Bengals wit h15 points, including going 5 of 11 from beyond the arc, while Hillary Kollar (Johnstown/Johnstown) poured in 12 points, hitting 4 of 6 from long range.  Bianca Smiley (Amherst/Sweet Home) added 11 points and 11 rebounds, and Ashley Wallace (Lockport/Starpoint) had 11 points and seven boards.

Buffalo State trailed 36-24 at halftime, but used an 11-0 run in the middle of the second half to cut the deficit to 49-44.  The Bengals would never get closer than five, however, as the Red Dragons hit free throws down the stretch to ice the win.  The Bengals had a 33-18 scoring edge from 3-point range, but Cortland's depth was too much as its bench outscored Buffalo State's reserves, 37-8.

Buffalo State will visit Oswego for another conference game at 2 p.m.
